Broadway stars Steve Kazee and Cristin Milioti are capturing the quiet romance of indie film Once on the Broadway stage, and Broadway.com’s resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson headed to the Jacobs Theatre to translate that same bittersweet sentiment into ink. Guy (Kazee) is an Irish singer-songwriter who is ready to give up on his music. Girl (Milioti) is a wide-eyed, waify Czech pianist who refuses to let him abandon his musical dreams. The show begin a collaboration in a Dublin music shop that will lead to friendship and maybe more. Check out Squigs' portrayal of this poignant love story, then see—and hear—it unfold on the Broadway stage.
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet.
